Cobs in the forest!
The Kentucky Series of rides are a nationwide fundraising effort. Each regional group of Endurance Great Britain is taking part, to raise money to send the British Endurance Team to Kentucky for the World Equestrian Games in the summer.
Cheshire Endurance group held their ride at Delamere Forest in early March.

Nearly 100 riders enjoyed clear, but cold weather as they navigated the tracks and paths of the forest. Many were new to the sport of endurance, and tackled the 12 mile course with enthusiasm; they received rosettes and unique plaques commemorating the ride.
Tracey Dickson riding her Cob x Thoroughbred Peppi , Claire Reed-Entwistle with her Haflinger Sonnet and Zellie Skeggs with Rannoch, who is a Highland took part in this type of ride for the first time, thoroughly enjoyed it and tell me that they will definitely be back to do more!

Tracey, Claire and Zellie come from Burton, Heswall and Brimstage on the Wirral, which is the venue for a competitive Endurance Ride in July, so, if this has whet your appetite to have a try at this friendly equine discipline, have a look at the "Pleasure Rides" and "Competitive Rides" pages of this website for further information and our full programme of events.
